International Day of Education is to acknowledge the role of education for peace and development, and as a human right and a public good and responsibility. The 2021 theme is Recover and Revitalize Education for the COVID-19 Generation through international solidarity and collaboration to place education and lifelong learning at the centre of the recovery. The global event for this day has three foci: (1) learning heroes; (2) innovations; and (3) financing. UNESCO, the Global Partnership for Education, the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies and partners from the Global Education Coalition are collaborating to give the Learning Planet Festival.
Accelerating Education for the SDGs in Universities is a guide from the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) that aims to help universities, colleges, and tertiary and higher education institutions take action.
