The Graduate Union of the University of Melbourne Inc. has received the Members’ request for a Special General Meeting under Part 4, Section 35 of the Rules, signed by at least 25 Members. Special Resolutions are included in the notice of meeting.
Special General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 16 September @ 5:30pm at Graduate House.

PLEASE NOTE:
This meeting relates to a proposal to modify the Rules of the Graduate Union to (in summary) prevent the Graduate Union Council from making any purchase or sale of any type above $100,000 without undertaking a 30-day notice period to members followed by a Special General meeting (requiring an additional 21 days) to endorse that transaction.
Please note, this meeting will NOT be focusing on the various strategic property options which are being considered by Council and by the broader Membership community.  Member viewpoints on these options are being explored via an upcoming survey to all Members, along with a planned range of focus groups and other gatherings and conversations.
