I am a resident of Graduate House and a PhD candidate in Immunology at The University of Melbourne. Graduate House provides a unique intellectual community for scholars and alumni from diverse disciplines, and I am committed to strengthening and sustaining that environment.
Since 2025, I have served on the Graduate Union Council Advancement Committee, contributing to initiatives that support engagement and the long-term development of our community. Across the University, I have led and organised graduate conferences, professional development events, and residential programs that bring students together and foster collaboration, mentorship, and academic exchange.
As a PhD candidate who expects to remain in Melbourne for several years, I am motivated to contribute during this important period as decisions about the future of the Graduate House site are considered. I will work to ensure resident perspectives are represented and that the legacy of Graduate Union supports future generations of scholars.

Explain how your key areas of expertise will contribute to Council.

As a PhD student in Immunology at the University of Melbourne, I bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills developed through research in a collaborative environment. My
academic work requires evaluating evidence, making structured decisions, and communicating complex issues clearly – skills directly relevant to effective governance.

My experience as an Investment Analyst with the University of Melbourne also provided exposure to strategic assessment, due diligence, and long-term planning when evaluating
emerging ventures. This strengthened my understanding of sustainability, risk, and responsible decision-making.

Alongside this, I have organised graduate conferences and student programs requiring coordination across multiple stakeholders. My approach to governance is grounded in
evidence-based decision-making, thoughtful stewardship of institutional resources, and ensuring the perspectives of the community are meaningfully represented. As a resident of
Graduate House, I would bring both a resident perspective and a structured approach to Council discussions.

Outline your view on the development and growth potential of The Graduate Union in the next three years.

Over the next three years, The Graduate Union has an opportunity to strengthen its role as a hub for intellectual exchange, interdisciplinary collaboration, and support for graduate
scholars. Continued investment in academic, professional development, and community programming will help maintain Graduate House as a vibrant scholarly environment.

There is also scope to deepen engagement with alumni, industry partners, and the broader University community. Strengthening these relationships can expand mentoring opportunities,
professional networks, and long-term sustainability for the Union.

Importantly, as discussions regarding the future of the Graduate House site continue, careful and transparent planning will be essential. In my view, good governance requires balancing
long-term sustainability with the needs of the current community. Ensuring graduate student perspectives are incorporated into these discussions will be critical to preserving the character
and value of Graduate House.

Outline your current involvement with The Graduate Union.

I am currently a resident of Graduate House and an active member of the Graduate Union community since early 2024. Since 2025, I have served on the Graduate Union Council
Advancement Committee, where I contribute to discussions and initiatives focused on engagement, outreach, and the long-term development of the Graduate House community.

Through this role, I have gained insight into the governance structure and strategic priorities of the Union, including efforts to strengthen community engagement and ensure the continued
relevance of Graduate House for future scholars.

As a resident, I value the intellectual and social environment that Graduate House provides for graduate students from diverse disciplines. My involvement reflects a commitment to
supporting the Union’s mission and ensuring that graduate student perspectives are represented in discussions that shape the future of the community

State your TWO greatest achievements of relevance to governance (e.g. as a member of a company board or The Graduate Union Council, as a contributor to your community).

One significant achievement was was serving as Program Manager for the Student Welfare Outreach Team at the Melbourne University Health Initiative. I led a committee of 27 members
and supported more than 100 volunteers delivering tutoring programs to disadvantaged secondary school students. I also secured university partnerships and funding to support
volunteer training and program delivery. This role strengthened my leadership, governance awareness, and ability to oversee complex community initiatives with meaningful social
impact.

Another key achievement was leading the organisation of the Graduate Researcher Conference at the Peter Doherty Institute. This involved coordinating abstract submissions and review
processes, managing event logistics, liaising with speakers, and supporting participation from a large cohort of graduate researchers. The role required planning, stakeholder coordination,
and responsible decision-making across multiple groups
