Rotary Youth Leadership Award

What is Rotary?

Rotary is a global network of >35,000 clubs that work (like our Association) towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

What is the Rotary Youth Leadership Award?

This award is prestigious, and recognised internationally.

As the name suggests it is an award to an aspiring leader aged between 18 and 25 years.

What is awarded?

The successful applicant is sponsored to attend an all-expenses paid (by a Rotary Club) seven-day Leadership Oasis Youth Camp at Mount Evelyn (37 kilometres north-east of Melbourne) from the 3rd to the 9th of December, 2017.

The leadership program focuses on the development of personal leadership skills and on engagement with other youth who live, work, study and/or volunteer in Rotary’s 9800 District which is in Australia’s state of Victoria and extends from Echuca in the north of the state (as well as into the state of NSW) to part of metropolitan Melbourne. This 9800 District has 70 clubs and about 2,700 members.

What is the process?

To gain sponsorship from a Rotary Club (the most likely being the Rotary Club of Carlton which meets here each Tuesday) complete the Expression of Interest form.
