World Braille Day

World Braille Day was first celebrated in 2019 to raise awareness of the importance of braille as a means of communication and as a human right for those who are blind and visually impaired. The date marks the birthday of Louis Braille, creator of this writing system. https://www.projectbritain.com/calendar/january/louisbraille.html
