Adding a new Newsletter

If you haven’t already, login to the administration panel

  1. From the menu select Posts > Add New [A]
  2. Give the item item a title [B] – e.g.: February Newsletter
  3. Upload a PDF or Word Document using the upload panel [E]. You don’t need to insert the PDF/Word document into the post because this will be done automatically – just upload it and close the window.
  4. Paste a brief description of the newsletter (optional) [C]. If pasting from Word please use the “Paste From Word” icon (you may need to enable the Kitchen Sink, see below).
  5. Fill in the “Excerpt” [D] (optional). The excerpt is a short description of the event that will be displayed on the home page.
  6. Select the appropriate category – e.g.: “Graduate House Newsletter” [F]
  7. Important: Change the date and time of the post to the date of the newsletter (only the MONTH is important) [G]
  8. Press “Publish” [H]

Notes

  • You don’t need to delete old newsletters – the front page will only display recent newsletters.
